Zero Tolerance Policy
At Poldent, we are committed to providing a safe, comfortable and respectful environment for our patients and staff. To ensure this, we operate a Zero Tolerance Policy towards any form of aggression, violence or inappropriate behaviour.
The practice considers aggressive behaviour to include, but is not limited to:
- abusive, offensive or aggressive comments,
- the use of foul or abusive language, including swearing,
- verbal threats,
- aggressive or intimidating gestures,
- physical assault or any unwanted physical contact;,
- intimidating or harassing members of staff or other patients,
- deliberate damage to practice property
We do not tolerate any form of aggression or inappropriate behaviour towards our dentists, dental hygienists, dental nurses, reception team or any other member of staff, nor towards other patients.
Where our Zero Tolerance Policy is breached, we reserve the right to:
- immediately stop treatment or end the appointment,
- refuse to provide further treatment or services,
- remove the patient from our practice list,
- refuse future appointments or registration,
- contact the Police where appropriate
Any incident involving physical assault against a member of staff, or any serious threats or behaviour that places the safety of others at risk, will be reported to the Police.
